SID! The Musical is a contemporary spiritual journey that follows Sid from his conformist 1950s childhood through the counterculture of the 1960s, Eastern spirituality, material success, addiction, religious fundamentalism, and ultimately to space - where he experiences enlightenment by recognizing his true nature as consciousness itself.

Sid believes he can find his true identity and meaning through external experiences, achievements, spiritual practices, and other people's approval.

He discovers that true identity and fulfillment come not from accumulating experiences or following prescribed paths, but from recognizing the consciousness that experiences everything - the space in which all experience occurs.

Sid transforms from someone desperately seeking identity through external means (success, spirituality, relationships, substances) to someone who realizes he is the awareness itself - "losing his head and gaining the universe."
